My professional background

Dr. Carlos Correa MD

A bilingual (Spanish- English) Medical professional with more than twenty years of practical experience in a fast-paced hospital settled in my country (Argentine). MD specialist in Internal Medicine, Occupational, Epidemiology and Forensic Medicine.

I have worked as a Medical Doctor (Emergency and Internal Medicine) in Comodoro Rivadavia General Hospital (Patagonia Argentina) and in the Municipality of San Isidro in Buenos Aires ( Director of Preventive Medicine and Public Health). I have also worked at National Level (Superintendencia de Riesgos del Trabajo SRT and SAJP, Central Medical Board of Medicine (http://www.srt.gov.ar/home/home.htm ) as evaluator of disability claim for the Argentinian government .

At academic level, I have worked for seven years as Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health of the University of Buenos Aires, under the direction of Professor Dr.Jorge Lemus (Former Public Health Minister of Buenos Aires City, Argentina)

In the United States, I worked for three years as Adjunct Professor of Anatomy and Physiology I and II in the School of Health Sciences, Miami Dade College (Medical Campus).

In the last five years I have been working as a full time Professor/ Instructor at Everest Institute at Hialeah Campus in the Medical Assistant Diploma.

I’m member of the MRC (Medical Reserve Corps) Broward County MRC since 2009.

I took and passed the USMLE (licensing exam in USA) Step 1 and 2.

I’m a resourceful person, capable of dealing with complex problems even in a difficult environment. I am always willing to develop rapport and communication with students, patients, family, staff, and other health care professionals.
